On August 8, 2024, Ms. Sarik Ankitha, the Head of the Department of Criminology at Roshini Nilaya School of Social Work, delivered an insightful session on cybercrime. The session was designed to raise awareness about the growing menace of cybercrime and its impact on society.

Ms. Ankitha began by explaining the different types of cybercrimes, such as identity theft, cyber stalking, hacking, and financial fraud. She emphasized the importance of understanding the methods used by cybercriminals and the psychological tactics they employ to exploit their victims.

One of the session's key takeaways was the need for collaboration between law enforcement agencies, cyber security experts, and the public to effectively tackle cybercrime. Ms. Ankitha concluded by encouraging participants to stay informed and vigilant, as well as to report any suspicious online activities to the appropriate authorities.
