St. Mary’s Institution Falnir, Mangaluru was privileged by the visit of Sr. Maria Shamitha A.C., the Provincial Superior of Apostolic Carmel Congregation, on 22 November 2023. The staff of the campus assembled at 3:00 pm at St Mary’s Preparatory School Auditorium for a common session by Sr. Maria Shamitha A C. The programme began by invoking blessings of the Almighty through a prayer song by the staff of St Mary’s English Higher Primary School.
Sr. Shamitha A.C. addressed the gathering inspiring the staff with her insightful message. In her speech she emphasized on how to have a better communication and relationship with the students and also asserted on the importance of being a teacher as there is no substitute for the role of a teacher. She emphasized the importance of creativity in teaching and encouraged the educators to think outside the box, adapt to new teaching methods, and engage students in innovative ways. At the end she appreciated all the staff for their dedicated service in the Apostolic Carmel.
