St. Mary’s English Higher Primary School organized an orientation programme for the students of class 6 and 7 on 12th February 2024 in Mother Veronica Hall at 9.00 a.m. The topic for the orientation programme was ‘Values of Life’ – the most significant part among young children. The resource person for the session was Fr. Henry Dsouza.
The session began with a prayer service conducted by the students of class 7. The speaker of the day was introduced and welcomed by the Headmistress Sr. Maisie A.C., Ansh Gerard Rego offered flower bouquet to the speaker Fr. Henry Dsouza.
It was an interactive session. He highlighted the topics on education values, family values, technological values and environmental values which will lead the students to a successful future. He shed some light on the virtues of hard work, stating that the secret for success is hard work, concentration in studies and whatever work you do, and cultivating the habit of helping others.
He explained the bad effects of social media in our lives and described about how to practice good values in everyday life situations.
The session came to an end at 12.15 noon with a formal vote of thanks.
